What patients are saying
Dr. Kayser performed a total hip replacement on my right hip. The surgery went perfectly and I’m now walking around like a champ and am so grateful to no longer be in pain. I greatly appreciate Dr. Kayser’s professional care and warm bedside manner. I highly recommend him.
When I came to Wright Patterson Air Force Base Hospital, my wife had to wheel me in on a wheelchair. At 71 years old I had no choice with a crushed hip. When I met Dr Kayser, he was amazing. I felt so comfortable. I think he told me “My job is to at least make you 80%. Only the Lord can make you 100%.” My reply “Doc let’s make it happen.” I asked the Doc are you going to do the surgery and he said yes me, I guess the surgery went great cause within a week I was walking. Make a long story short within maybe a month I followed the Doc’s orders, Physical Therapy, Motion is Lotion and Tylenol is all I took sparingly. Within 6 months I was walking 3 to 4 thousand steps a day (I’m a Security Escort). Well 2 years later I go to the gym 3 days a week, walk 3 to 5 thousand steps a day and drink a 12 pack of Busch Lite a week. I was broken hearted when you left the Air Force.
Getting ready to turn 73, I am loving life thanks to Doc Kayser. The Lord gifts everyone in a certain way. The Lord gifted Dr Kayser as a Fantastic Surgeon.

You did an excellent job replacing my left hip and I wish I had it done 2 years earlier.
It was a true pleasure having you as my surgeon.
Thank you again for your great work and God bless you and your family in the future.
You have given me my health back! I couldn’t sleep or swim and now I’m doing both extremely well! Thank you and I know that your future patients are very lucky to have a great surgeon!!
Dr. Kayser and I first met in the Spring of 2023 when I came to him for a Grade IV stress fracture in my tibia. I believe it was the fourth time I had a stress fracture in that tibia, and the first time it was so severe. I am an endurance athlete with marathon and long distance triathlon being the sports in which I am highly competitive within my age group. Dr. Kayser thoroughly took my history, sport and life goals into consideration and gave me my options. We both agreed at that time to go the conservative route to go none weight bearing for 6 weeks followed by PT. While I followed my PT and return to run plan as prescribed, I still found myself with another Grade IV stress fracture 6 weeks into training for the 2024 Boston marathon. This time around Dr. Kayser and I agreed to go the surgical route to place a tibial nail. Dr. Kayser was thoroughly informative about what the surgery, recovery and physical therapy would look like post op. He prepared me for not only what was going to be required of me physically, but also emotionally as he understood my passion and competitive nature; especially when it came to running. Dr. Kayser performed a skilled surgery and thoroughly followed up with me for the first year post-op. Dr. Kayser’s genuine concern and care for both my physical and emotional well-being coupled with his medical knowledge, surgical skill, and passion to help restore his patients to their desired health and physical goals are unmatched in my lifetime participating in sport. Thanks to Dr. Kayser I was able to participate in Ironman Worlds 70.3 in New Zealand ten months after my surgery, qualify for the 2026 Boston Marathon, and am currently thriving in my 2025 triathlon season. I anticipate many more years of training and racing thanks to Dr. Kayser!
Dr. Kayser performed my right anterior hip replacement, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. He is highly skilled, communicative, and efficient. From diagnosis through surgery, my experience was seamless and reassuring.
The use of a HANA table and robotic technology reflects a truly cutting-edge approach, resulting in minimal discomfort and an excellent outcome. I’m incredibly grateful for the compassionate care I received from both Rutherford Orthopedics and the hospital staff at Rutherford Regional.
Highly recommend Dr. Kayser for anyone seeking exceptional orthopedic care!

I have worked as an Aircraft Mechanic for the US Air Force for more than 35 years. Over the course of those years, not only has my daily job been physically demanding, I’ve also had to follow a tough exercise program, including much jogging and running, to meet Air Force fitness standards. As a result, by the age of 59, I started to notice aches and pains in both of my hips. At first, I tried to ignore the pain or treat the symptoms with analgesic pain killers. But as time progressed, the pain got worse and worse. And I began to worry about how I would be able to finish out my career, retire, and then enjoy my retirement years with so much pain.
I suffered with increasing pain levels in my hips for about 6 years. Eventually I decided to seek a professional evaluation of my condition with Dr. Kayser, an Orthopedic Surgeon at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base hospital. He diagnosed my hip condition as severe osteoarthritis (bone on bone) with hip replacement surgery being my only viable option.
Dr Kayser thoroughly explained the details of hip replacement surgery with comparisons to my work as an aircraft mechanic so that I could easily understand the procedure. Based on his advice and recommendations, I decided to have the hip with the worst pain replaced first.
Since the hip replacement surgery was my first significant medical procedure of any type, I was nervous and apprehensive going into the operation. The procedure was considered “outpatient surgery” and I was up and walking the very same day. The recovery from the surgery and subsequent physical therapy went according to plan.
I was so pleased to be pain-free in the hip that had been replaced that I wanted to immediately get my other hip replaced as soon as possible! I was so looking forward to being out of constant pain!
After the second hip was replaced, I felt I had a new lease on life. I can now finish out my career and look forward to travelling in my retirement years.
I really do appreciate Dr. Kayser’s skills and expertise in performing my hip surgery. The miracle of modern medical technology has allowed me to resume physical activities and a normal life.
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kayser. Before my total hip replacement, my quality of life was poor and even simple everyday tasks were difficult. Since the surgery, I feel like a completely new person. I’m back to living my life again, and I’m so grateful for his skill, care, and support throughout the entire process. Thank you, Dr. Kayser, for truly giving me my life back.
After falling on ice, and shattering the bones in my wrist, Dr. Kayser did the most amazing surgery to install a 3” Titanium plate in my wrist, and I am on day 7 since the operation and I am feeling better and better with each new day.
I am very thankful to God, for blessing me with such a wonderful Dr. and I look forward to my post op visit in 3 days.
I very highly recommend him to anyone who needs a good doctor for surgery.

I’m So Thankful for Dr. Kayser! I had put off knee surgery for many years until I could no longer participate in physical activities due to terrible pain. Dr. Kayser was so professional and kind, from the beginning when he explained everything involved in the surgery, to the day of the surgery when he did an Amazing knee replacement, and finally when he provided compassionate and thorough follow up treatment!! He is so kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I am So Grateful that Dr. Kayser was my surgeon!! Thanks to him, I can now walk 10,000 steps daily, play pickleball again after not being able to play for 5 years due to the pain , and dance/play 3 days a week while watching my Grandbaby! Dr. Kayser is an Excellent surgeon and I give him the Absolute Highest Recommendation possible!!
